Mini E.L.F & Sephora Haul | MAKEUP

My First Sew In

I decided to get a sew in as a great protective style. I do have some hair out but not as much. I was trying to decide where I should buy my first weave so I opt on getting one at a local beauty supply. Being a newbie I really don't know which hair would be consider the best. But I came across the weave that I have installed which is the Bobbi Boss Indi Remi Natural Yaki. It seem to have been the best hair in the bss so I decided why not. I also watched some reviews on this hair on YouTube and they were pretty good. I had first purchased the 16 inch and 18 inch but ended up returning the 18 and getting a 14inch. Since I am new to this whole weave thing I wanted to start off my experience with a length that was manageable and easy to maintain. The total of the hair came out to $225 the 14inch was $99.99 and the 16inch was $125. The prices did very from every bss I went to. I would be doing my 1 Week Update in a few days to get more into detail about the hair from what I can say

Back To Black

So I did it I color my hair black. I was expecting to get a more natural black but it came out more like a jet black in my opinion. I'm still not sure how I feel about going back to black but it would eventually grow on me. The process was pretty long between coloring, washing and roller setting. Everything went well except when I tried to deep condition my hair with my macadamia natural masque it didn't do anything for my hair so I went back to my 3 min miracle mixed with some tresseme natural conditioner and my hair came out great. I deep condition my hair for about 20 Mins under a hooded dryer. Once I rinsed out my deep conditoner I then applied my leave ins. I decided on using the Creme of Nature Strength & Shine Leave in and the Gloss & Shine Polisher. I never used these products together but when I did I got really great results. I haven't done a rollerset in a long time but I think I did okay, just okay.   My End Results.

Farewell Blonde Hair...

For now ? I usually get tired of my hair color after awhile and being that I had this color for already two years its time for a change. Don't get me wrong I love the color and maintaining it wasn't as hard as I thought but I just need a change. I love experimenting with color and for this year I have already two colors in mind. Light brown and ombré. I know I said I wasn't going to put color on my hair anymore but now I'm thinking otherwise. It's just this one time and also I have been looking into my weave and I really couldn't find anything to correctly match my hair color. If I had tried to color the weave my hair color I would had not succeeded. So I decided to save me the trouble and just color my hair black and purchase my weave black. I was going to do a dark brown instead but my roots being that they are black already the dark brown hair dye would not take and I need my hair color to match the weave color being that I am leaving some of my hair out. 2013 Hair Goals

Lets start off by saying Happy New Year ! 2012 is gone and now we begin our journey to 2013 I can say overall 2012 was a good year for my hair I had some mishaps from my self trimming and getting cuts multiple times, but I still had some good with reaching past bra strap length and actually saying that my hair is pretty healthy for it being colored treated. 2012 was great to my hair in my opinion. So now it's time to start my 2013 hair goals that I know I can achieve: 1. Maintaining the health of my hair Now that I have achieved almost healthy hair I need to keep up with it and make sure it does not revert. I wasn't using heat that often maybe every two months are so and I was frequently co washing my hair which I believe is what helped my hair. 2. Less Trimming ! I need to stay away from scissors Reason I'm not at BSL is because of being scissor happy. I always felt the need to cut my hair for some reason even if it didn't need a trim. So this year I am only go
