Hair Haul

Would you believe that I don’t own a clarifying shampoo. I went out and purchase the cheapest one that I can find. I was going to purchase the ORS aloe shampoo but didn’t see why I should pay for something that I’m only going to be using once a month. (Until I came across the little packs  -_- , I would had just got those when I did my monthly clarifying) Any who the shampoo was $1.98 Also heard so much rave about the TRESemme Naturals Conditioner. I really wanted to get that but in my local Target it wasn’t available so I decided to go with the next most raved about conditioner. HE Hello Hydration. I paid around 6 or 7 dollars for this big bottle. I have already use this twice and my hair seems to love it. I also purchase my favorite conditioner and deep conditioner but as of now it looks like HE would be taking my Suave position. As for my deep conditioner this has to be my favorite like I had stated in my pervious haul. This is hands down become a staple in my regimen. This w

Hair Update #3 ; Protein Overload?

When I am done with the whole washing process or cowashing my hair I have been ignoring the straight strands in my hair. I just haven’t accepted the fact that my hair is pretty damage and maybe beyond fixable. I’m pretty sure I received this damaged from the bleach that I had done to my hair a month ago. Ever since the hair color I been babying my hair to hopefully restore the damage. But in my eyes it seems to be unfixable. (Even though some curl pattern has return) At this point I’m not sure what I should do. I want to cut my hair and just go back to a dark brown but then I also want to grow out the hair color and do trims until its all gone. Doing it this way though would take a very long time. If I do decide to color my hair again sadly I’m going to either do a rinse or a semi permanent of a dark brown hair color and then cut my hair to shoulder length. But I am not planning to color anytime soon. Maybe around the fall time I would do it or maybe ending of the summer. For now I’m g

Healthy Hair Journey Questionnaire!

Found this post on Hairlista.com and thought I should answer the questions on my blog. Thought this would be really fun to do and for people to know more about my hair. (NOTE: THESE ARE NOT MY QUESTIONS) 1.What is your current length? My current length is grazing bra strap length 2. What is your ultimate goal length? My ultimate goal length is waist length 3. Had any setbacks in your journey so far? Spilt ends and breakage ! 4. After you reach your goal will you continue to maintain that length OR if relaxed will you go natural and start another journey? Once I reach my goal I would definitely maintain the length. 5. What are you looking forward to the most when you reach your goal? When I reach my goal I’m looking forward to being able to wear the many styles that I am unable to do now. Also proving to my family, my mom especially, that my hair is able to grow. But overall healthy hair. 6. What is your hair type? My hair type is maybe in the 3C’s category. 7.

Hair Update #2

Planning to do these updates every so often just to keep track on what’s going on with my hair. Lately my hair has been responding very well with all the protein that I put in it. I use a protein leave-in at all times and I also do a light protein treatment weekly. When I had first washed my hair after my recent coloring I didn’t have any curl pattern. It was like the color and damage had alter its shape. But I recently learn that when using protein it brought back some curl pattern, definitely more then before. I might be late on this but I figure protein was only used for breakage but not to help bring back curl pattern. In the next week or so I’m going to do a heavy protein treatment. I decided not to do it every other week but just once a month. Hopefully that would repair more of the damage I’m pretty sure I have more damage I need to cure. Also maybe at the end of this month I am going to get my hair trim. I hate going to the salon to get trims because they always cut way more th

Current Hair Length.

Here is where my hair is now since I last had cut my spilt ends back in February. It has been a year and 3 months since and its back to how I want it. Even though my current goal for my hair is mid back length by my birthday (January) hopefully I can reach that goal. Also you can notice the new hair that I had done. I’m not much of a fan of it and really want to go back to black. But I’m giving my hair a break from coloring maybe by my birthday I’ll re color it to black.
