Wash Day

[1] Detangled hair & shampooed in four sections with ORS Aloe Shampoo. I feel that this shampooed is a great shampoo especially to remove build up. [2] Deep condition with Creme of Nature Moisture Milk Masque. I recently purchased this deep conditioner and wanted to see how well it worked on freshly washed hair. I applied it to my four sections starting from tip working my way up to the root. I put on two plastic caps and left it on for 40 minutes while I did some house cleaning. Rinsing the product out it was nothing impressing. My hair looked really shiny and moisturized, hair detangled rather easily but I detangled prior. First impression it did not wow me. [3] Leave in of choice was Chi Keratin mist because my hair has been shedding like crazy and Creme of Nature 7-in-1 [4] I also recently purchased Creme of Nature Foaming Lotion. I never used a foaming lotion my initial reason of purchasing this was to do a flexi rod set but I decided to skip that and just braid my hair....

Wash Day

[1] I did a hot oil treatment with grape seed oil & avocado oil. [2] I rinsed the oil out and shampooed with a clarifying shampoo. I decided on using this type of shampoo because I went swimming. I applied it directly on my scalp and massaged it in allowing the suds to go down the strands. [3] Followed up with a rinse out conditioner just to aid in detangling. I used the Suave Shea & Almond conditioner. Not much of a fan for this conditioner. [4] I toweled dried my hair and applied Aunt Jackie In Control deep conditioner. I then slather grape seed oil on top of that and covered with two plastic caps. I ended up taking a nap and had left the deep conditioner in for 2 hours. I rinsed and my hair felt amazing soft hair. I already love this deep conditioner but adding the grape seed oil made it a lot better. [5] I rinsed it out and applied my It's a 10 Leave in. I did not use anything to style my hair just that and did two twist. My hair feels really soft and looks fluffy ...

Wash Day

1. In a nozzle bottle I put half water and half of my Shea Moisture Retention Shampoo mixed. It was definitely a refreshing feeling. I had been itching my scalp and all that came to stop during the shampoo step. Washing out the shampoo was a challenge. I have a net over my braids so it was really difficult to making sure that the shampoo was thoroughly washed out. 2. I followed that with a mixture of Aussie 3 Minute Miracle with water as well. I applied that to my braids and had let that sit. I left that on for awhile as I focused next on the weave. It was on my hair for about 10 minutes. 3. I shampooed my weave with the Shea Moisture Shampoo as well. A lot was not necessary but I made sure to thoroughly wash it. I then washed that out and followed up with the Aussie deep conditioner as well, making sure to focus on the ends. It instantly soften the hair and made the ends feel a lot better.  4. I rinsed out the braids until I saw no more bubbles. Also rinsed out the ...

Wash Day ; Preparing For Sew-In

My install will be happening this week and I wanted to give my hair a really good wash/deep condition. It was pretty simple yet very effective.  I used very minimal products and did a light protein treatment that I have not done in while. I washed my hair at home and went to a salon to get my ends trim and a roller set/blow out done.  1. I prepoo my hair with a mixture of oils EVOO, Grape seed Oil, Jojoba Oil & Avocado Oil. As the oil mixture was heating up in a cup of hot water I parted my hair into four sections. Once I felt the oil was warm enough I applied it to my scalp first sectioning the four parts into two more parts. Then applied it to the lengths of my hair. I then used my Hair Therapy Cap and left it on for 30 minutes.  2. Rinsed the oil out and then shampooed using the Miss Jessie Sudsy Slip Shampoo in my four sections. Although it was a small size it was enough for my entire head. I mainly focused on my roots and rub the suds down the lengt...

Wash Day

1. I detangled prior to washing and then started with clarifying my hair with my Suave Clarifying Shampoo, I know that I just clarified last week but I was in the pool and I needed to get the chlorine out my head. I was surprisingly able to detangle my hair easily I guess maybe cause I saturated my hair with conditioner before I went into the pool and then rinsed my hair at the pool.  2. I Then follows up with my co-rinse so that I can finger detangle more. I used the Suave Shea Butter & Almond conditioner. The first time I had used this Conditioner was as a Co-wash and it didn't help with detangling or making my hair feel moisturized so I left it alone, for a long time. This time around I decided to use it again and my hair was loving it. I was able to finger detangled and my hair was feeling all types of moisturized and soft. Going to try this as a co wash again this week. 3. I then saturated my deep conditioner which is a mini sample size of silk elements moisturizing deep c...

Wash Day (7/7)

It feels good to have a clean scalp especially since I haven't washed my hair in almost two weeks! Yeah I know slacker/gross! My  hair needed a good wash and some moisture back into it. Also I just came from the beach and even though I wasn't in the water the elements could of been harsh on my hair ex.sun.  I started off with clarifying my hair since I haven't washed my hair in awhile. Needed to get rid of product build up and plus its the beginning of the month. I used my suave clarifying shampoo, I would say I do prefer the ORS aloe shampoo but I have yet to buy a full size.  I proceeded to conditioning my hair because it was very much needed. I used my L'oreal Power Moisture conditioner and saturated my hair with the product so I can detangle my hair with my fingers instead of a comb. So easy to detangle my hair with this conditioner I love it.  Followed up with my deep conditioner which is the Bee Mine D/C. I didn't wear my heating cap or leave in on for hours. ...

Wash Day

I had a really REALLY good wash day today. Something I haven't had in a really long time. The results I received were amazing. I had recently purchased two new products and ended up using them both. They were the Proclaim Argan Oil Intense Hydrating Masque and the L'oreal Power Moisture Conditioner. I started off with a clarifying shampoo because I needed to remove alot of build up that I had accumulated in the past weeks. I had decided on using a sample that I had from Miss Jessie it was called Sudsy Slip I think? But it was really good hair didn't feel dried out after using but I prefer the ORS Aloe Shampoo I had then followed up with the Proclaim hair masque for an hour and a half. I used my Hair Therapy to get a good deep conditioning. My thoughts..Eh once it was rinsed out I had to follow up with a conditioner. Not that it was bad but I needed some slip to help detangle my hair I then decided to use the L'oreal conditioner and as soon as I applied my tangles ...

Wash Day

I enjoyed my wash day today it went great and I didn't have a lot of breakage, surprisingly . Lets not get ahead of my self though. 1. Hot oil treatment with JBCO on my scalp and grapeseed oil along the lengths of my hair for 30 minutes exactly with heat 2. Then shampoo my hair with Shea Moisture Retention Shampoo 3. Condition with HE Honey I'm Strong 4. Followed up with my Bee Mine Beautiful Deep Conditioner for 30 with heats and 25 without 5. Apply leaves in 6. Style in twist When I had condition my hair with the HE my hair didn't react very well to it. I know it's not a protein conditioner but I don't know what it is that it doesn't give my hair any slip or moisture. I'm about to stop using this brand as a rinse out conditioner it does nothing, but it does make my "new growth" feel great (different topic) Next part was deep conditioning my hair and omg you wouldn't even believe what had happen! Once I was done applying the deep co...

Wash Day and Self Trim !

Wash Day 1. Shampoo with Nexxus Pro Mend 2. Condition with Nexxus Humectress 3. Deep Condition with Macadamia Natural Oil Masque (1hr) HAIR FELT GREAT! 4. I applied my leaves in & heat protectant 5. Blow Dry & Flat Iron I just trimmed my hair, myself ! When I was done with my washing routine I notice that my ends were DRY. Something I never notice. My entire head was still wet but my ends, they had dried up so quickly & felt rough. & out of no where I TRIM THEM I don't know why I decided to cut it I just did. Now I'm having a love hate relationship with my "cut". I love that my ends feel so much more better but I hate that my hair is back to the same length it always stays at & it's UNEVEN! I'm debating if I should go to the salon & get it cut evenly causing it to be even shorter or just wait. I don't know ladies help me decide please. Other then that I had a successful wash day being that I used NO product's that had...
