Wash Day

[1] Detangled hair & shampooed in four sections with ORS Aloe Shampoo. I feel that this shampooed is a great shampoo especially to remove build up.
[2] Deep condition with Creme of Nature Moisture Milk Masque. I recently purchased this deep conditioner and wanted to see how well it worked on freshly washed hair. I applied it to my four sections starting from tip working my way up to the root. I put on two plastic caps and left it on for 40 minutes while I did some house cleaning. Rinsing the product out it was nothing impressing. My hair looked really shiny and moisturized, hair detangled rather easily but I detangled prior. First impression it did not wow me.
[3] Leave in of choice was Chi Keratin mist because my hair has been shedding like crazy and Creme of Nature 7-in-1
[4] I also recently purchased Creme of Nature Foaming Lotion. I never used a foaming lotion my initial reason of purchasing this was to do a flexi rod set but I decided to skip that and just braid my hair. I did two flat twist in the front and two braids in the back. Only product used was the foaming lotion. My end results using the Foaming lotion was really nicely defined and soft curls.

Quick Update: Hey guys, I just wanted to give a quick explanation on my hiatus. During the month of July I was going though personal issues that had taken a toll on me. It was something I was not expecting and it hit me hard. Also for the month of August I had started to pack because I am movingin a few weeks which is a milestone for me & once I get settled into my new place I hope to take this blogging space further. Thank you for still sticking around :)

  1. I've heard nothing but great things about that ORS Aloe Shampoo. I really need to try it.

I just sent a special prayer your way chica. I totally know what it feels like to be ridiculously overwhelmed and your blogging suffers. Your move is an opportunity for a completely fresh start! Things are looking up kid!

    1. Thank you, your prayer is truly appreciated :)

& the shampoo is really good although it is a sulfate shampoo it does not feel stripping at all. I recently seen a new version of the shampoo that was sulfate free & consider to be hydrating. I'm thinking on purchasing it soon.

Umm, Hey ?!

I  have not written a post in over a few months now & I feel a little okay about it. I just was not in the mood to really write about hair. It just started to become repetitive & a little boring to me. Don't get me wrong I still plan on documenting my hair journey & I still enjoy everything hair related. It was just a moment for me that I was kind of over it. I have been enjoying my hair length & been using heat a little too much, but that's okay. I mean isn't that the point of reaching your goal length, to enjoy it in whatever way you want? Well I definitely did & now it's time to get back to my normal hair routine. I still have a long term goal I want to achieve. So let's see where I go from here. This is my small space on the internet & I don't plan on abandoning it any time soon.

Hair Length Check In

I can not believe how far my hair has come. My hair has been in a protective for half the year, which was a sew-in. I did not have a sew in for the summer I gave my hair a break. I am currently debating if I should get another sew in for the colder months that is coming but I am not sure. My hair feels fuller & thicker. I was even asked if I had a weave in lol. Here is my current length. Am I Mid-Back length ? This picture was taken in Oct/13  Here is my current length as of Oct/14

Giving Weave A Try | Update

I have been thinking about changing my hair a lot recently from the color to deciding if I want to relax it. I just been bored with my hair and I have been trying to do as many natural styles but its either I can't do it, doesn't come out right or it doesn't look right on me. I don't want to manipulate my hair anymore. I'm done with experimenting with color on my own hair and I don't want to continue putting heat on my hair just to cause damage. Soooooo I been thinking about trying out weave? I been looking into it for awhile but now I'm doing my research on it. I don't see any harm in getting weaves what so ever. I can color it and put heat on it I can also pick different textures. Only thing that's holding me back is that awkward feeling of people knowing your actual length and then the next day your hair is down your back lol. But I can get over it I think. This would be a great protective style and I'm hoping it can last for at least 3 months...
