Wash Day

1. I detangled prior to washing and then started with clarifying my hair with my Suave Clarifying Shampoo, I know that I just clarified last week but I was in the pool and I needed to get the chlorine out my head. I was surprisingly able to detangle my hair easily I guess maybe cause I saturated my hair with conditioner before I went into the pool and then rinsed my hair at the pool.

2. I Then follows up with my co-rinse so that I can finger detangle more. I used the Suave Shea Butter & Almond conditioner. The first time I had used this Conditioner was as a Co-wash and it didn't help with detangling or making my hair feel moisturized so I left it alone, for a long time. This time around I decided to use it again and my hair was loving it. I was able to finger detangled and my hair was feeling all types of moisturized and soft. Going to try this as a co wash again this week.

3. I then saturated my deep conditioner which is a mini sample size of silk elements moisturizing deep conditioner. This is my third time using this and I love this stuff. From the first time trying to now I have had the same results each time no matter how long I leave it in. This time around it was in hair for three hours. I also used my heating cap for a deeper conditioning treatment. My hair was supple, soft, smelled great and was able to get my fingers through.

4. Lastly my leaves in I decided on using my Creme of Nature Leave in with my Garnier Fructis Leave in  I am so loving the Garnier leave in its becoming a favorite !

5. Lastly I used my Cantu Shea Butter Coconut Custard Styling Creme to help define my twist out. Another good favorite that I love using.

I'm so looking forward to co washing this week with the suave conditioner hope it works well. But other then that wash day went really well again ! I think I'm finally learning how to have a good wash day

Umm, Hey ?!

I  have not written a post in over a few months now & I feel a little okay about it. I just was not in the mood to really write about hair. It just started to become repetitive & a little boring to me. Don't get me wrong I still plan on documenting my hair journey & I still enjoy everything hair related. It was just a moment for me that I was kind of over it. I have been enjoying my hair length & been using heat a little too much, but that's okay. I mean isn't that the point of reaching your goal length, to enjoy it in whatever way you want? Well I definitely did & now it's time to get back to my normal hair routine. I still have a long term goal I want to achieve. So let's see where I go from here. This is my small space on the internet & I don't plan on abandoning it any time soon.

Hair Length Check In

I can not believe how far my hair has come. My hair has been in a protective for half the year, which was a sew-in. I did not have a sew in for the summer I gave my hair a break. I am currently debating if I should get another sew in for the colder months that is coming but I am not sure. My hair feels fuller & thicker. I was even asked if I had a weave in lol. Here is my current length. Am I Mid-Back length ? This picture was taken in Oct/13  Here is my current length as of Oct/14

Giving Weave A Try | Update

I have been thinking about changing my hair a lot recently from the color to deciding if I want to relax it. I just been bored with my hair and I have been trying to do as many natural styles but its either I can't do it, doesn't come out right or it doesn't look right on me. I don't want to manipulate my hair anymore. I'm done with experimenting with color on my own hair and I don't want to continue putting heat on my hair just to cause damage. Soooooo I been thinking about trying out weave? I been looking into it for awhile but now I'm doing my research on it. I don't see any harm in getting weaves what so ever. I can color it and put heat on it I can also pick different textures. Only thing that's holding me back is that awkward feeling of people knowing your actual length and then the next day your hair is down your back lol. But I can get over it I think. This would be a great protective style and I'm hoping it can last for at least 3 months...
