Wash Day

1. Prepoo scalp & leave out with a combination of jojoba oil & grapeseed oil.

2. Shampooed the leave out with Shea Moisture Retention Shampoo. I am starting to run low on this & being it isn't a ultimate favorite I am going to look into other sulfate free shampoo's. Any suggestion?

3. I rinsed out the oil and shampoo. I did not apply any shampoo to my scalp instead in a applicator bottle I used the As I Am Coconut Cowash and massaged that in.

4. Left the Cowash in for a few minutes then rinsed it out to put in my deep conditioner.

5. I used the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle with the same oils and applied that to my scalp. Also on my leave out.

6. Now I started to work on the extensions. I Cowash with Herbal Essence conditioner because I love the scent. Rinsing that out I followed up with the deep conditioner which was also the Aussie 3 Minute.

7. I wrapped my hair and placed a plastic wrap over it. Used my Hair Therapy Wrap to do a heated deep conditioning session. I decided to deep condition for an hour because I felt my hair needed the extra moisture.

8. I thoroughly rinsed out all the product on my scalp and extension. I towel dried my leave out sections and applied my leave in [Chi Silk Infusion & It's a 10 Miracle Leave In]. I applied Chi Silk Infusion on to the weave. I decided to roller set my leave out so that it can be smoother. I then sat under a hooded dryer for 45 minutes until everything was dried.

9. I then flat iron so blending can be easier.

  1. Great wash day, how do you like aussie 3 minute miracle as a deep conditioner? I loved it as an instant con, and looking to try it as a deep con.

    1. Thanks! The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle works very well with my hair. If I am able to detangle and feel that my hair is moisturized then its a winner to me. When I deep condition it's usually for 30 minutes with heat. I also use it as an rinse out conditioner and its just as good.

Umm, Hey ?!

I  have not written a post in over a few months now & I feel a little okay about it. I just was not in the mood to really write about hair. It just started to become repetitive & a little boring to me. Don't get me wrong I still plan on documenting my hair journey & I still enjoy everything hair related. It was just a moment for me that I was kind of over it. I have been enjoying my hair length & been using heat a little too much, but that's okay. I mean isn't that the point of reaching your goal length, to enjoy it in whatever way you want? Well I definitely did & now it's time to get back to my normal hair routine. I still have a long term goal I want to achieve. So let's see where I go from here. This is my small space on the internet & I don't plan on abandoning it any time soon.

Hair Length Check In

I can not believe how far my hair has come. My hair has been in a protective for half the year, which was a sew-in. I did not have a sew in for the summer I gave my hair a break. I am currently debating if I should get another sew in for the colder months that is coming but I am not sure. My hair feels fuller & thicker. I was even asked if I had a weave in lol. Here is my current length. Am I Mid-Back length ? This picture was taken in Oct/13  Here is my current length as of Oct/14

Giving Weave A Try | Update

I have been thinking about changing my hair a lot recently from the color to deciding if I want to relax it. I just been bored with my hair and I have been trying to do as many natural styles but its either I can't do it, doesn't come out right or it doesn't look right on me. I don't want to manipulate my hair anymore. I'm done with experimenting with color on my own hair and I don't want to continue putting heat on my hair just to cause damage. Soooooo I been thinking about trying out weave? I been looking into it for awhile but now I'm doing my research on it. I don't see any harm in getting weaves what so ever. I can color it and put heat on it I can also pick different textures. Only thing that's holding me back is that awkward feeling of people knowing your actual length and then the next day your hair is down your back lol. But I can get over it I think. This would be a great protective style and I'm hoping it can last for at least 3 months...
