So I Cowash Today . . . .

I had did my full wash day on Sunday but I didn't have time to really write about it. But I did cowash so why not write about it lol .
Sorry about the quality

I decided to deep condition on slightly damp/dry hair. I used a spray bottle to moist my hair so that I can distribute the d/c more easily. I decided on using the Beautiful Textures Rapid Repair D/C and its time I post my review about that deep conditioner Sigh* Just not a fan of it.

I left it on for 2 hours with my heating cap on and went into the shower rinsed it out and my hair just wasn't feeling it again. I think I came to a conclusion about why it may have not work but that would be another post. But it didn't help to moisturize my hair or provide any slip it was soft, but as I continuously rinsed it out my hair was feeling tangled. When I was done my hair just didn't feel soft anymore but it wasn't rough.

I then cowash with a conditioner that I didn't like months ago. I had used it a week ago as a conditioner rinse (What I call a conditioner that helps condition after shampooing) I enjoyed it but now I see why I don't like it as a co wash. I think it might be a certain ingredient that my hair doesn't like. As you can see I don't have the curliest hair and I really don't know if its heat damaged or just a different hair type. (Honestly don't know my natural hair type) I then applied my favorite leave in, at the moment, and surprisingly it couldn't even soften up my hair. I really blame the products I use prior because that leave always delivered since I have been using it.

Also can someone tell me why does this happen? When I get out the shower I always tshirt dry my hair but once I remove it and let it air dry for the remainder of the time the nape area dries so much quicker then the rest of my hair. Why is that happening I really don't understand.
I then flat twisted my hair as you can see I'm not that good but I'm okay, still learning.

  1. I considered purchasing that leave-in, but I noticed it had isopropyl alcohol listed as an ingredient. I didn't want it to dry my hair out.

Hair Length Check In

I can not believe how far my hair has come. My hair has been in a protective for half the year, which was a sew-in. I did not have a sew in for the summer I gave my hair a break. I am currently debating if I should get another sew in for the colder months that is coming but I am not sure. My hair feels fuller & thicker. I was even asked if I had a weave in lol. Here is my current length. Am I Mid-Back length ? This picture was taken in Oct/13  Here is my current length as of Oct/14

Wash Day

Today wash day I was suppose to do a protein treatment but I had completely forgot and just went on with my regular routine. Next week I really don't know if I'm going to incorporate protein because I'm planning to either make a visit to the salon (maybe) but if I do my own roller set at home I may do a protein treatment. Thanksgiving next week I plan to use heat for the occasion. Other then next week plans today was day was successful . 1. I washed my hair in four separate sections and used my  Shea Moisture Shampoo . I have yet to use a clarifying shampoo which is needed so I just used this in each section and wash thoroughly. 2. I followed up with Herbal Essence Totally Twisted conditioner to help detangle my hair. Like I said before, If I did not, this conditioner smells amazing! 3. Then followed up with my It's a 10 deep conditioner using heat. This time around it was in my hair for about an hour and half possibly. I had to finish writing a paper and then ate...

Umm, Hey ?!

I  have not written a post in over a few months now & I feel a little okay about it. I just was not in the mood to really write about hair. It just started to become repetitive & a little boring to me. Don't get me wrong I still plan on documenting my hair journey & I still enjoy everything hair related. It was just a moment for me that I was kind of over it. I have been enjoying my hair length & been using heat a little too much, but that's okay. I mean isn't that the point of reaching your goal length, to enjoy it in whatever way you want? Well I definitely did & now it's time to get back to my normal hair routine. I still have a long term goal I want to achieve. So let's see where I go from here. This is my small space on the internet & I don't plan on abandoning it any time soon.
