Quick Update

Ahhhh... I have been gone for too long but I had finished finals two weeks and I dedicated my time to studying for them for the month on May literally & I did great btw :)). Which is why there were barely any post during this month. Once finals were over I needed a break so I took some time for myself to relax and catch up on some much needed sleep.

Anyway I haven't been paying attention to my hair this month. I only washed my hair about two times but that was because I was using heat. Ugh I know I used heat! but only once every two weeks. I also decided to take a trip to the salon because I got lazy with my hair this past week and I have a few occasions this weekend and I wasn't in the mood of doing my own hair. So I guess that I used heat three times then smh...

Reason why I decided on using heat was because one it was finals and ain't nobody got time to be dealing with hair and secondly I'm getting tired of my natural hair. Nothing was working to Soften it up or moisturized it so I needed a break from all the bad wash days I felt that I was having. Right now I'm thinking about giving my natural curly hair one more chance. Going to try and find something that works but I am on a budget right now so I have to chose wisely.. But if nothing works I'm going to go with straight hair which means using heat again. Straight hair is so easy to managed and I experience less shedding ! I also found two products that I have been loving when I straighten my hair (planning to post a current favorites) btw my two year journey is coming up in July can't believe it's been two years but talk about that when it comes around. But anyway I would try again this entire summer and if I find nothing I just might give up :(

I have a few post that I'm going to be putting together soon so be on the look out for that. I miss you guys and I miss posting :)

Umm, Hey ?!

I  have not written a post in over a few months now & I feel a little okay about it. I just was not in the mood to really write about hair. It just started to become repetitive & a little boring to me. Don't get me wrong I still plan on documenting my hair journey & I still enjoy everything hair related. It was just a moment for me that I was kind of over it. I have been enjoying my hair length & been using heat a little too much, but that's okay. I mean isn't that the point of reaching your goal length, to enjoy it in whatever way you want? Well I definitely did & now it's time to get back to my normal hair routine. I still have a long term goal I want to achieve. So let's see where I go from here. This is my small space on the internet & I don't plan on abandoning it any time soon.

Hair Length Check In

I can not believe how far my hair has come. My hair has been in a protective for half the year, which was a sew-in. I did not have a sew in for the summer I gave my hair a break. I am currently debating if I should get another sew in for the colder months that is coming but I am not sure. My hair feels fuller & thicker. I was even asked if I had a weave in lol. Here is my current length. Am I Mid-Back length ? This picture was taken in Oct/13  Here is my current length as of Oct/14

Giving Weave A Try | Update

I have been thinking about changing my hair a lot recently from the color to deciding if I want to relax it. I just been bored with my hair and I have been trying to do as many natural styles but its either I can't do it, doesn't come out right or it doesn't look right on me. I don't want to manipulate my hair anymore. I'm done with experimenting with color on my own hair and I don't want to continue putting heat on my hair just to cause damage. Soooooo I been thinking about trying out weave? I been looking into it for awhile but now I'm doing my research on it. I don't see any harm in getting weaves what so ever. I can color it and put heat on it I can also pick different textures. Only thing that's holding me back is that awkward feeling of people knowing your actual length and then the next day your hair is down your back lol. But I can get over it I think. This would be a great protective style and I'm hoping it can last for at least 3 months...
