My First Sew In

I decided to get a sew in as a great protective style. I do have some hair out but not as much. I was trying to decide where I should buy my first weave so I opt on getting one at a local beauty supply. Being a newbie I really don't know which hair would be consider the best. But I came across the weave that I have installed which is the Bobbi Boss Indi Remi Natural Yaki. It seem to have been the best hair in the bss so I decided why not. I also watched some reviews on this hair on YouTube and they were pretty good.

I had first purchased the 16 inch and 18 inch but ended up returning the 18 and getting a 14inch. Since I am new to this whole weave thing I wanted to start off my experience with a length that was manageable and easy to maintain. The total of the hair came out to $225 the 14inch was $99.99 and the 16inch was $125. The prices did very from every bss I went to. I would be doing my 1 Week Update in a few days to get more into detail about the hair from what I can say now is that it's pretty good so far.

Hair Length Check In

I can not believe how far my hair has come. My hair has been in a protective for half the year, which was a sew-in. I did not have a sew in for the summer I gave my hair a break. I am currently debating if I should get another sew in for the colder months that is coming but I am not sure. My hair feels fuller & thicker. I was even asked if I had a weave in lol. Here is my current length. Am I Mid-Back length ? This picture was taken in Oct/13  Here is my current length as of Oct/14

Wash Day

Today wash day I was suppose to do a protein treatment but I had completely forgot and just went on with my regular routine. Next week I really don't know if I'm going to incorporate protein because I'm planning to either make a visit to the salon (maybe) but if I do my own roller set at home I may do a protein treatment. Thanksgiving next week I plan to use heat for the occasion. Other then next week plans today was day was successful . 1. I washed my hair in four separate sections and used my  Shea Moisture Shampoo . I have yet to use a clarifying shampoo which is needed so I just used this in each section and wash thoroughly. 2. I followed up with Herbal Essence Totally Twisted conditioner to help detangle my hair. Like I said before, If I did not, this conditioner smells amazing! 3. Then followed up with my It's a 10 deep conditioner using heat. This time around it was in my hair for about an hour and half possibly. I had to finish writing a paper and then ate...

Umm, Hey ?!

I  have not written a post in over a few months now & I feel a little okay about it. I just was not in the mood to really write about hair. It just started to become repetitive & a little boring to me. Don't get me wrong I still plan on documenting my hair journey & I still enjoy everything hair related. It was just a moment for me that I was kind of over it. I have been enjoying my hair length & been using heat a little too much, but that's okay. I mean isn't that the point of reaching your goal length, to enjoy it in whatever way you want? Well I definitely did & now it's time to get back to my normal hair routine. I still have a long term goal I want to achieve. So let's see where I go from here. This is my small space on the internet & I don't plan on abandoning it any time soon.
