Wash Day/Rollerset Take 2

1. Pre-pooed with extra virgin olive oil for 25 mintues
2. Shampooed with TresSemme Spilt End Shampoo
3. Applied Aphogee 2 Min Reconstructor
4. Condition with TresSemme Spilt End Conditioner
5. Deep Condition with Neutrogena Triple Moisture Mask
6. Applied Leave In's ( Garnier Fructis Serum & Neutrogena Triple Moisture Leave In )
7. Rollerset & Flat Iron

This wash day wasn't the best and that was because of the protein treatment. I left it in my hair for 5 minutes which is the max and onced rinsed out it made my hair pretty strong but did left a hard and brittle kind of feeling. Once I had rinsed out my deep conditioner I was expecting my hair to feel moisturized and soft but that didn't happen and I don't believe its because of the D/C but the protein treatment. I've used this deep conditioner before and it melted away my tangles but this time it was horrible. It would dry up quickly and feel matted. I gave up for a second but was determine to try another rollerset and this one came out better then the last one. I rolled tightly and used extra clips to secure the roll. In total I was doing my hair for 3 hours which isn't that bad to me that includes the washing process. Rolling took an hour cause I was trying to perfect it and make sure it the hair was rolled on the roller properly . My ends are looking abit shabby and they are in need of a trim so I'll be getting one at the end of the month.

Umm, Hey ?!

I  have not written a post in over a few months now & I feel a little okay about it. I just was not in the mood to really write about hair. It just started to become repetitive & a little boring to me. Don't get me wrong I still plan on documenting my hair journey & I still enjoy everything hair related. It was just a moment for me that I was kind of over it. I have been enjoying my hair length & been using heat a little too much, but that's okay. I mean isn't that the point of reaching your goal length, to enjoy it in whatever way you want? Well I definitely did & now it's time to get back to my normal hair routine. I still have a long term goal I want to achieve. So let's see where I go from here. This is my small space on the internet & I don't plan on abandoning it any time soon.

Hair Length Check In

I can not believe how far my hair has come. My hair has been in a protective for half the year, which was a sew-in. I did not have a sew in for the summer I gave my hair a break. I am currently debating if I should get another sew in for the colder months that is coming but I am not sure. My hair feels fuller & thicker. I was even asked if I had a weave in lol. Here is my current length. Am I Mid-Back length ? This picture was taken in Oct/13  Here is my current length as of Oct/14

Giving Weave A Try | Update

I have been thinking about changing my hair a lot recently from the color to deciding if I want to relax it. I just been bored with my hair and I have been trying to do as many natural styles but its either I can't do it, doesn't come out right or it doesn't look right on me. I don't want to manipulate my hair anymore. I'm done with experimenting with color on my own hair and I don't want to continue putting heat on my hair just to cause damage. Soooooo I been thinking about trying out weave? I been looking into it for awhile but now I'm doing my research on it. I don't see any harm in getting weaves what so ever. I can color it and put heat on it I can also pick different textures. Only thing that's holding me back is that awkward feeling of people knowing your actual length and then the next day your hair is down your back lol. But I can get over it I think. This would be a great protective style and I'm hoping it can last for at least 3 months...
