Wash Day

1. Clarified with Suave Clarifying Shampoo
2. Shampoo with Nexxus Pro Mend Shampoo
3. Condition with Nexxus Humectress
4. Deep Condition with Macadamia Natural Oil Hair Masque
5. Apply Leaves In's (Aphogee Keratin & Green Tea and Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine)
6. Roller set/ Flatiron

This wash day wasn't the best starting with the conditioner. I heard so many good things about this conditioner so I gave it a try. This wasn't that great on my hair it moisturized but made my hair fall out so easily. My hair was just coming out excessively and I haven't even had that much "breakage" in awhile even when I use my HE Color Me Happy Conditioner when I had co washed I didn't get any "breakage". I don't understand where that came from. But The shampoo was pretty good didn't strip my hair and it felt moisturized. As for the deep conditioner it made my hair feel amazing once again. It was moisturized & easy to detangle. But when I applied the leave in's the Aphogee in particular it just made my hair hard and when I would comb my hair it was rough. I don't understand why it was horrible on my hair trying to figure it out. I didn't take any pics because I had done my hair so late around 11pm and was done by 3am I went straight to bed. Next wash day I'm not going to apply no protein and see how my hair reacts. Also planning to buy a protein based moisturizer that I can use maybe every 3 days so I can keep the balance since my hair doesn't want the conditioner or leave in. Or maybe it can just be line like I stated before. Well this wash day wasn't the best but not the worse either.

Umm, Hey ?!

I  have not written a post in over a few months now & I feel a little okay about it. I just was not in the mood to really write about hair. It just started to become repetitive & a little boring to me. Don't get me wrong I still plan on documenting my hair journey & I still enjoy everything hair related. It was just a moment for me that I was kind of over it. I have been enjoying my hair length & been using heat a little too much, but that's okay. I mean isn't that the point of reaching your goal length, to enjoy it in whatever way you want? Well I definitely did & now it's time to get back to my normal hair routine. I still have a long term goal I want to achieve. So let's see where I go from here. This is my small space on the internet & I don't plan on abandoning it any time soon.

Hair Length Check In

I can not believe how far my hair has come. My hair has been in a protective for half the year, which was a sew-in. I did not have a sew in for the summer I gave my hair a break. I am currently debating if I should get another sew in for the colder months that is coming but I am not sure. My hair feels fuller & thicker. I was even asked if I had a weave in lol. Here is my current length. Am I Mid-Back length ? This picture was taken in Oct/13  Here is my current length as of Oct/14

Giving Weave A Try | Update

I have been thinking about changing my hair a lot recently from the color to deciding if I want to relax it. I just been bored with my hair and I have been trying to do as many natural styles but its either I can't do it, doesn't come out right or it doesn't look right on me. I don't want to manipulate my hair anymore. I'm done with experimenting with color on my own hair and I don't want to continue putting heat on my hair just to cause damage. Soooooo I been thinking about trying out weave? I been looking into it for awhile but now I'm doing my research on it. I don't see any harm in getting weaves what so ever. I can color it and put heat on it I can also pick different textures. Only thing that's holding me back is that awkward feeling of people knowing your actual length and then the next day your hair is down your back lol. But I can get over it I think. This would be a great protective style and I'm hoping it can last for at least 3 months...
