Hair Goals For 2012 (Late Post)

I made a decent list of my goals that I want to achieve for this year and I'm also doing monthly challeneges just to make my journey abit more interesting and I know a month isn't long enough to see results in anything but there would be times where I would extend it to two months.

My Goals:
1. Stick to my products! I'm always going out buying new products and instantly adding them into my hair. Doing this doesn't help me figure out what my hair needs or wants. Just leaves me a big mess on trying to figure out what went wrong or what was good.

2. Learn to love my curls I have a love - hate relationship with them. Its just so complicated dealing with my hair being that its so thick and curly, but I do love my curls.

3.Try to do more protective styles. To be honest I don't even understand what protective styling is or even how what styles you can use. All I know is putting in a weave and I'm on the fence of doing that (Might try it out)

4. I don't have a set goal on how long I want my hair to be I just want it to have a nice amount of length maybe around june. But I do want overall health within 3 months (If thats possible)

5. I do want to take a vitamin such as biotin

6. Keep my ends trimmed I am thinking about going to get them cut every 4-5 months (if my ends do need to but trim)

7. Also need to have PATIENCE. I lack in that department. I really need to have patience with my hair being that I get fed up rather quickly when my hair doesn't follow with what I want it to do lol.

8.Search for a great hair styler that can maintain my braidout and twist. Need a product that can hold my curls and maintain them through out the day. Also moisturize them, have defined curls and also be frizz fee.

MY CHALLENGE FOR FEBRUARY- Don't use NO HEAT! I want to embrace my curls. Find styles for them and learn how to manage second day hair.

Umm, Hey ?!

I  have not written a post in over a few months now & I feel a little okay about it. I just was not in the mood to really write about hair. It just started to become repetitive & a little boring to me. Don't get me wrong I still plan on documenting my hair journey & I still enjoy everything hair related. It was just a moment for me that I was kind of over it. I have been enjoying my hair length & been using heat a little too much, but that's okay. I mean isn't that the point of reaching your goal length, to enjoy it in whatever way you want? Well I definitely did & now it's time to get back to my normal hair routine. I still have a long term goal I want to achieve. So let's see where I go from here. This is my small space on the internet & I don't plan on abandoning it any time soon.

Hair Length Check In

I can not believe how far my hair has come. My hair has been in a protective for half the year, which was a sew-in. I did not have a sew in for the summer I gave my hair a break. I am currently debating if I should get another sew in for the colder months that is coming but I am not sure. My hair feels fuller & thicker. I was even asked if I had a weave in lol. Here is my current length. Am I Mid-Back length ? This picture was taken in Oct/13  Here is my current length as of Oct/14

Giving Weave A Try | Update

I have been thinking about changing my hair a lot recently from the color to deciding if I want to relax it. I just been bored with my hair and I have been trying to do as many natural styles but its either I can't do it, doesn't come out right or it doesn't look right on me. I don't want to manipulate my hair anymore. I'm done with experimenting with color on my own hair and I don't want to continue putting heat on my hair just to cause damage. Soooooo I been thinking about trying out weave? I been looking into it for awhile but now I'm doing my research on it. I don't see any harm in getting weaves what so ever. I can color it and put heat on it I can also pick different textures. Only thing that's holding me back is that awkward feeling of people knowing your actual length and then the next day your hair is down your back lol. But I can get over it I think. This would be a great protective style and I'm hoping it can last for at least 3 months...
