Starting Again !

Today I decided to give my hair some TLC. I did my first ever hot oil treatment with EVOO but I don’t really know what results I’m suppose to get from hot oil treatments. Though it is my first time doing it I’m not expecting any results that quickly. I’m going to start doing hot oil treatments weekly as a pre-poo. I think I have an allergic reaction to evoo, not really sure. Every time I apply this to my hair my face starts to itch. But I had test it on my arm to really see if I were but I didn’t get any itched feeling. I only start itching, on my face, when I apply it to my hair even when I use it as a sealant.

After I had rinsed out the oil I shampooed my hair with Elasta QP Crème Conditioning. Will put a review once I have a good opinion on it. But by first impressions it did an okay job. Made my hair feel really soft but I wasn’t able to detangle from what I thought I will be able to.

Then when I was done with that I deep condition my hair with a deep conditioner that I had laying around called L'Oreal something mixed with Evco, Evoo and jojoba oil. DISGUSTING! The results I received from this deep conditioner was not at all amazing. I didn’t have any slip, was not easy to detangle and it smelled pretty bad! Threw out that deep conditioner as soon as I got out the shower.

I had separated my hair into four sections and applied my leave in which is my Shea moisture curl enhancing and braided each section. I’m planning on cowashing my hair tomorrow to get rid of this smell and do a roller set. Also thinking on purchasing VO5 Moisture Milks. Want to try this out as a cowash, heard many good things about but I want to know what’s the difference between suave brand and this one. Well I will try it out some day and see if there any difference that’s for another post :)

Umm, Hey ?!

I  have not written a post in over a few months now & I feel a little okay about it. I just was not in the mood to really write about hair. It just started to become repetitive & a little boring to me. Don't get me wrong I still plan on documenting my hair journey & I still enjoy everything hair related. It was just a moment for me that I was kind of over it. I have been enjoying my hair length & been using heat a little too much, but that's okay. I mean isn't that the point of reaching your goal length, to enjoy it in whatever way you want? Well I definitely did & now it's time to get back to my normal hair routine. I still have a long term goal I want to achieve. So let's see where I go from here. This is my small space on the internet & I don't plan on abandoning it any time soon.

Hair Length Check In

I can not believe how far my hair has come. My hair has been in a protective for half the year, which was a sew-in. I did not have a sew in for the summer I gave my hair a break. I am currently debating if I should get another sew in for the colder months that is coming but I am not sure. My hair feels fuller & thicker. I was even asked if I had a weave in lol. Here is my current length. Am I Mid-Back length ? This picture was taken in Oct/13  Here is my current length as of Oct/14

Giving Weave A Try | Update

I have been thinking about changing my hair a lot recently from the color to deciding if I want to relax it. I just been bored with my hair and I have been trying to do as many natural styles but its either I can't do it, doesn't come out right or it doesn't look right on me. I don't want to manipulate my hair anymore. I'm done with experimenting with color on my own hair and I don't want to continue putting heat on my hair just to cause damage. Soooooo I been thinking about trying out weave? I been looking into it for awhile but now I'm doing my research on it. I don't see any harm in getting weaves what so ever. I can color it and put heat on it I can also pick different textures. Only thing that's holding me back is that awkward feeling of people knowing your actual length and then the next day your hair is down your back lol. But I can get over it I think. This would be a great protective style and I'm hoping it can last for at least 3 months...
